Terms of Service

These terms cover the hosted GitHub Actions runner service at onctl.io / app.onctl.io. They are a beta draft, written by the operator, not reviewed by counsel. If anything here is unclear, email hello@onctl.io before you rely on the service for production CI.
The service
You install our GitHub App and set runs-on to an onctl label. We provision an ephemeral Firecracker microVM for the job and destroy it afterwards. The service is in beta: there is no uptime SLA, and we may change behaviour with notice on this site.
Acceptable use
Use the runners to run GitHub Actions jobs for repositories the App is installed on. Do not use them to mine cryptocurrency, attack other systems, or bypass the monthly minute cap (for example by spreading one workload across many GitHub accounts). We may refuse new VMs or disable an installation if we believe it is abusing the service.
Included minutes and billing
Each GitHub App installation includes 500 vCPU-weighted minutes per UTC calendar month. Beyond that, new VMs are not provisioned until the next month. Published rates on the pricing page apply when paid billing is enabled. Today the production Stripe account is still test-mode — we will not take a live charge without updating this page.
Your content
Your source code, secrets, and build artifacts stay yours. We do not claim a license to them. Checkout and the job itself run inside the ephemeral VM using GitHub's own job token.
No warranty, limited liability
The service is provided as-is. We are not liable for lost builds, delayed jobs, or incidental damages, to the extent the law allows. If a paid period is ever in force, our aggregate liability for that period is limited to the amount you paid us in it.
